Pete wants to represent you as "Buyer's Agent", but will not represent both buyer and seller at the same time, on the same property. Both Pete and Solid Source Realty feel that it is impossible to adequately and fairly represent both buyer and seller in the same transaction.

Most buyers will find that engaging Pete Clay as a Buyer's Agent is the only smart way to go and that it provides substantial advantages and safeguards. Keep in mind that in Georgia, the law requires that you sign a Buyer Agency Agreement before you can have a Buyer Agent represent you. If you do not sign a Buyer Agency Agreement, your agent is required by law to represent the interests of the seller, and not yours!  If you decide not to engage buyer agency, you will not be represented by your agent to look out for your best interests. However, while representing the seller in the transaction, your agent is allowed to handle your ministerial needs, and, if a REALTOR®, will still be bound by the strict ethics standards of the National Association of REALTORS. The Buyer Agency Agreement will be thoroughly reviewed with you by Pete Clay when you get serious about buying.
